Located on the far side of Howell Mountains from Napa Valley and 4 miles below Angwin, Pope Valley is a countryside of ranches, vineyards, and country homes. A service station and auto garage are located across the street. A few miles down the road the Pope Valley Elementary school sits quietly under large oak trees. Pope Valley is served by a volunteer fire department and the Napa County Sheriff.

The City of Napa has it own public bus transportation system--VINE.

For those who want more excitement, Pope Valley often has barbecues and gatherings at the Grange Hall. The Annual Turkey Shoot is something not to miss. For the Cinema, Dining, or Night Life one must drive to St. Helena, Napa, Calistoga, or Santa Rosa.
